This picture represents modernism because of the cubism used in the picture. Like other pictures representing cubism, this picture does not portray a face in a traditional way. Rather, by using irregular shapes, color, and lines the picture is trying to shed a new light into the drawing of a face.

The chair shown in the picture represents modernism architecture since the chair incorporates simplicity and lines. This chair defies the traditional form of chair by using modern technology to make a new form of chair.

The building is another example of modernism because of its use of geometric shape, lines, and modern technology. It uses shapes like triangle and rectangles to establish its main characteristics. Moreover, use of modern technology a shown in its glasses allow the building to portray a sense of newness and sophistication by reflecting light with style.

This picture represents modernism because of surrealism and themes used in the picture. The surrealism shown in the picture is an example of modernism because it defies traditional notions of painting by putting different kinds of objects together: as shown here, the clock and human body are generally do not belong together in the real world. Moreover, the picture tries to convey a message condemning modern conformist routines as shown by the clock and the knife.
